Musée d’Orsay for six people: our review
My verdict: the highest-rated Orsay tour in our selection, 5.0 out of 131 reviews, and the only one offered in French. Six people per guide, two and a half hours, ticket and reserved entry included. If you only do one guided tour in Paris, this is the one I recommend.
What it is
Two and a half hours in the permanent collections of the Musée d’Orsay with a certified guide, for up to six visitors. The operator has been leading these tours since 2012. Admission is included and entry is reserved, though a security check at the door remains. You’ll see Monet’s Woman with a Parasol, Renoir, Degas’s dancers and bronzes, and the guide tailors the route to the group. Temporary exhibitions are not included.
The meeting point is set on the Valéry-Giscard-d’Estaing esplanade, in front of the museum, in the 7th arrondissement. Two constraints to be aware of: objects larger than 55 × 35 × 20 cm are prohibited, and wheelchair access is only possible with a private booking. From the Musée Gustave Moreau, taking line 12 to Solférino is sufficient.

If English works for you and duration matters, the two-hour tour does the same job with a larger group.
